- Start up Netscape Communicator.
- Click on "Edit" and then "Preferences" and you will see a screen like the one shown below:
- From the table on the left, double click on "Mail & Groups", and choose the "Identity" tab.
- Next to Your name, enter the name you wish to appear on the emails you send to others.
- For Email address, enter your email address. Your email address looks something like username@datacruz.com (i.e. support@datacruz.com).
- Next, click on the "Servers" tab and you will see a screen like the one below:
- Fill in your username name - (if your email address is johndoe@datacruz.com, your username would simply be "johndoe").
- Fill in the server information:
Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtp.datacruz.com
Incoming Mail Server: pop.datacruz.com
- Press OK. You can begin using your email by starting Netscape Communicator and choosing "Messenger Mailbox" from the "Communicator" menu on the toolbar.
