- Open My Computer
- Double-Click Dial-Up Networking
- Select your Datacruz entry
- Goto File | Properties
- Click Server Types on the top
- Make sure your setup matches the following:

Note: If you have a Winmodem select "Enable Software Compression."
If you do not, or are unsure, leave this unchecked.
- Click OK
Important: If you have network card installed or use another service such as AOL, DO NOT procede.
If slow problems persist, call Datacruz Technical Support
- Go back to My Computer
- Open Control Panel
- Double-Click on Network
- Click on and Remove anything not in the following:(It is fine if you have Microsoft Family Logon instead of Microsoft Client for Networks.)

- Click OK
- Now try to connect again
